ST. JOSEPH – Evalyn Coble Westlund, 91, formerly of Sister Lakes, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph.

Private family services will be held at a later date at Keeler Cemetery in Keeler.

Mrs. Westlund was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Dowagiac, to Millard and Iva (Swisher) Hunter.

She worked as a dental assistant for several dentists in southwestern Michigan. She will be deeply missed by all of her family.

Mrs. Westlund is survived by: her daughter, Corinne Arthur of Lebanon, Ind.; two sons, John A. Coble of Galesburg and David Coble of Stevensville; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her daughter, Carol Coble in 1947; first husband, John L. Coble, in 1991; her second husband, Robert Westlund, in 2002; and by her brother, Stan Hunter, in 2004.
