Plainwell came to Dowagiac with a No. 3 ranking and a spot atop the Wolverine Conference standings.

After defeating Dowagiac 3-0, not much has changed for the Lady Trojans.

Plainwell defeated the Chieftains 25-13, 25-11 and 25-7 on Thursday night.

“It is the same old story... we did not communicate on the floor and that hurts us,” Dowagiac coach Ryan Frontczak said. “We can't get in a groove and stay there, we started out great the first five minutes and then went flat. We can't give a team of that caliber free balls and win a game.”

The Chieftains will be back on the court next Thursday when it takes on another Wolverine Conference power in Gull Lake.
