This past Thursday night was a great night for Ring Lardner volleyball.

All four teams were in action and all four teams defeated Upton St. Joe in their respective matches.
The seventh grade Gold and Blue teams traveled to Upton Middle School, while the eighth grade Gold and Blue teams hosted Upton.

The seventh grade Gold played exhilarating sets as it defeated St. Joe 25-23, 25-23 and 11-15.

Coach Jean Storm was excited with the team’s improvement in serving, serve reception and movement to the ball.

The seventh grade Blue team defeated St. Joe in all three sets. They played an intense first set before winning 26-24. The second and third set was 25-10 and 15-11, respectively.

As mentioned by Coach Nic Hawley, “serving and positive belief in ourselves and each other guided us tonight.”

Both teams showed great teamwork, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic throughout the contests.

The eighth grade Gold team lost the first set 13-25. The Lady Vikes fought hard and came away with a win taking the second and third sets, 25-15 and 15-10.

Coach Cherie Schaller was happy with the team’s overall play in the contest.
The eighth grade Blue team took all three sets from St. Joe as they defeated the Bears 25-12, 25-14, and 15-8.
