Seventh grade squad falls to Niles, 12-6

The Dowagiac Middle School seventh grade football team dropped a hard-fought 12-6 decision to Niles Ring Lardner on Tuesday.

Jason Presley tossed a 65-yard touchdown pass, while Tyler Collins had a 45-yard reception and Chase Camp a 35-yard reception.

Dowagiac will face St. Joe Upton next week.

Eighth grade volleyball
The Dowagiac Middle School eighth grade volleyball teams were swept by Three Rivers on Wednesday.

The Orange team was defeated by the Lady Wildcats 25-20, 25-20 and 16-14.

Emily Roach and Mackenzie Ruff were strong on the serve and Amanda Springsteen was strong on defense.

The black squad lost 25-22, 25-15 and 15-7.

Christina Preston had nine unanswered service points and Breanna Hall was strong on defense and at the net.
