The Niles Ring Lardner seventh grade Blue football team defeated Dowagiac 12-6 on Tuesday.

The Chieftains scored on an 80-yard pass play late in the second quarter, but failed to convert on the extra point.

The Vikings tied the game at 6-6 with just 45 seconds remaining in the first half when Alex Banta scored on a 20-yard run.

Niles’ extra point attempt also failed.

With just 2:50 remaining in the contest, Sean Craig dove in from 2-yards out to give the Vikings the victory.

The 8th grade Gold volleyball team defeated Benton Harbor this past Tuesday at Benton Harbor.

The Gold team played four games against Benton Harbor and won all four. The scores were 25-10, 25-1, 25-13 and 25-9.
