Bobcats defeated by ‘Rocks

BERRIEN SPRINGS – The league-leading Berrien Springs tennis team handed visiting Brandywine a 7-1 Lakeland Conference setback.

The Bobcats earned their lone victory at No. 4 singles where Tyler Hartman defeated Mackenzie Holets 6-1 and 6-1.

DOWAGIAC – Visiting Paw Paw swept the singles flights en route to a 7-1 Wolverine Conference victory over the Dowagiac tennis team Wednesday afternoon.

The Chieftains’ lone win came at No. 1 doubles where Aaron Blaske and Mike McClenahan defeated Kyle Fevig and David Rife 5-7, 6-4 and 7-5.

The Redskins won all three singles matches and earned a default at No. 4 singles.
