Noringhang

Nome and Tya Noringhang are the parents of a son born on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at 1:32 a.m. at the US Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan.

Ethan James weighed 6 pounds and 12 ounces and was 19 inches long.

Grandparents are Glenn and Georgianna Smith of Cassopolis, Cindy Ferguson of Niles, and Silaphone Bounkhoun and Home Noringhang of Vandalia.

Carpenter
Tara and William Carpenter of Edwardsburg are the parents of a son, born Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009 at Lakeland-Niles. He weighed 7 pounds and 7 ounces.

The Carpenters are also the parents of a son and a daughter; Kole, 3 1/2 and Laila  2. Maternal grandparents are Steve and Karen Hamer of Allendale, and Robin and Bob Swartzander of Benton Hardbor. Paternal grandparents are Kathy and Ron Nickens of Mishawaka, Indiana, and William Carpenter of Kalmazoo. Maternal great-grandfather is Jon Tedford of Allendale.
