GRANT – The Buchanan tennis team took second place at the Grand Invitational on Saturday.

The Bucks finished second to the host school, which finished with 24 points. Buchanan had 20 points.

Cedar Springs took third with 12 points and Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills fourth with no points.

Winning flight championships for the Bucks were Tyler Lindorf and Derek Blank at No. 1 and No. 4 singles, along with John Haslock and Jake Welsh at No. 2 doubles.

Buchanan’s Corey Thompson and Alex Kuhn were also champions at No. 3 doubles.

Finishing second for the Bucks was the No. 1 doubles team of Ryan Henckel and Josh Whitfield.
