Lyle and Patsy Taylor, 317 Louise Ave., Dowagiac, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

The Taylors married on Sept. 12, 1959, at First Methodist Church in Decatur.
Their reception took place at the Dowagiac Armory, then they honeymooned in the Wisconsin Dells.

Lyle is a retired butcher.

Patsy retired from Wolverine Mutual Insurance Co. in 2004 after 47 years.
Their children are Candy (Taylor) and John Cooper, Dowagiac, and Steve and Debbie Taylor, Dowagiac.

Their grandchildren are Jeff and Felicia Cooper of Romeo and Andee Taylor, Drew Cooper, Erika Taylor, Danielle Taylor, Brittany Gnatz and Abbie Gnatz, all of Dowagiac.
