Gregory M. Rusch, 56, of North Sixth Street, Niles, died at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at his home, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 14, at Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with Don Fleischman of Fairland Christian Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept 13, at the funeral home.

He was born on Dec. 2, 1952, in Niles to Alex Rusch and Elizabeth J. Wages.

He graduated from Niles High School in 1971, and lived here all of his life.

He was previously employed at Tyler Automotive and other local shops.

He was a professional musician, specializing in the guitar.

He was active at YANA House, sponsoring several individuals who were successful there.
He enjoyed fishing and camping in this area.

Surviving family includes a daughter, Angela (Amy Nichols) Rusch of Calhoun City, Miss.; son, Jason Rusch of Parma, Ohio, grandson, Dakota Nichols, granddaughter, Amber Gilbert; sister, Pamela (Bill) Small of Niles; former-in-law, Bonnie (Carmelo) Velez of Niles and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were by Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
