Host Niles won three out of four doubles flights to edge Edwardsburg 5-3 in a non-conference tennis match on Thursday afternoon.

The Vikings and Eddies split the single flights with Niles taking the first two flights and Edwardsburg the second two.

Saulo Ortiz and Jared Langmeyer were the winners for the Vikings in singles competition.
Langmeyer defeated Cameron Breisch in a three-set thriller 5-7, 6-3 and 6-3.

Edwardsburg picked up its lone victory in the doubles flights as Dillion Kujawa and Mitch Patzor defeated Mitch Peterek and Travis Lemanski 7-6 and 6-0.

The Eddies swept all six junior varsity matches from the Vikings.

Niles will compete in the South Bend Riley Invitational on Saturday.
