Mary Pauline Letcher, 73, of Three Rivers, formerly of Mendon and Cassopolis, died on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at 8:05 a.m. in Riverview Manor Nursing Home, Three Rivers.

A funeral service was held on Friday, Aug. 28, at 11 a.m. in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Officiating was Pastor Ward Pierce of the West Mendon United Methodist Church, Mendon.

Interment followed the service.

She was born on March 3, 1936, in Bertrand Township, Berrien County, to the late Paul and Thelma (Bliss) Letcher.

She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Toney of Kalamazoo; a brother, Ken (Sue) Letcher of Three Rivers; five sisters, Joanne (Richard) Easton of Idlewilde, Nancy (Hermann) Heib of Greenwood, Ind., Lois Caba of Sturgis, Patricia (Clarence) Hunsberger of Jones and Victoria (Joseph) Hackenberg of Three Rivers and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was a homemaker and a great animal lover. She had a big heart and was always giving to the less fortunate.

Memorial donations may be sent to any humane society.
Arrangements were by the Connelly Funeral Home, Cassopolis.
