Ron and Diane First of Dowagiac celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 5 with their family, Jody and Mike Gantt, Jamie and Liz First and grandchildren Jeff Gantt, Tyler First, Carly Gantt, Sam Gantt, Tommy First and Chris Gantt.

Ron and Diane were married Sept. 5, 1959, in Benton Harbor.

Ron retired from National Copper Products after 46 years.

Diane retired from Dowagiac Union Schools after 30 years of service.
