THREE RIVERS – The Dowagiac varsity volleyball team dropped its Wolverine Conference opener to host Three Rivers on Wednesday night.
The Lady Wildcats swept the Chieftains 25-21, 25-16 and 25-18.
“Tonight was a tough night for us,” Dowagiac coach Ryan Frontczak said. ” We just did not show up tonight. We just could not get out of the funk we had. We just could not find our offense tonight. We have go to start working on getting ride of all of the free balls and little mistakes that keep on adding up.

THREE RIVERS – The Dowagiac junior varsity volleyball team fell victims to the Wildcats from Three Rivers by the scores of 25-19, 25-23
Correshia Rodgers led the scoring with nine points; Kelsie Primley, Carley Polomcak, and Abbigail Gnatz all added six points, while Shelby Bruens and Rylie Cox both added five points apiece.
Polomcak was the leading attacker with nine kills and Primley added six.
Bruens added six assists and Nikki Witwer was credited with five assists.
