PORTAGE – The Lady Vikings volleyball team reached the finals of the Silver Division at the Portage Northern Invitational on Saturday.

Livonia Churchill defeated Niles 25-16 and 25-17 in the title match.

In advancing to the finals, the Lady Vikings defeated Comstock 25-12 and 25-20, lost to Battle Creek St. Philip 25-12 and 25-20, defeated Vicksburg 25-7 and 25-19, and lost to Athens 26-24 and 25-19.

In the quarterfinals, Niles defeated Marshall 17-25, 25-19 and 17-15.

St. Joseph fell to the Lady Vikings in the semifinals 25-20, 21-25 and 15-10.
Ashley Love led Niles in kills with 39, while Ashley Allison had 30, Devyn Roberts 23 and Rachel Zeider 19.

Allison also had 39 digs and six aces.

Love had 29 digs, while Roberts had 11 blocks and Zeider four.

Brea Haines led the team with 57 digs and 11 aces. Becca Lewis finished the tournament with 28 digs, four blocks and 91 assists.
