DOWAGIAC – The Chieftains rolled up 477 yards in total offense in beating South Haven 41-6 in their season and Wolverine Conference opener.

Jon Myers scored on a 19-yard run and recovered a muffed punt in the end zone for another score.

Dowagiac also got two touchdowns from Brandon Douglas.

Dowagiac will take on Three Rivers next Friday night.
