Tom and Diane Fritz of Broodside Drive, Buchanan, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 30 with a Mass said on Sunday, Aug. 30 with Bishop Bradey at St. Augustine Cathedral in Kalamazoo. They will also have a family dinner with their children and grandchildren.

Tom married Diane Wirant on Sept. 12, 1959, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Niles, where they are members.

They have lived in Buchanan for 45 years.

He worked for M.I.S. for 40 years and was a substitute teacher for seven years in Buchanan and Brandywine schools, while she was a Buchanan school bus driver for 27 years and a homemaker.

Their children are Tami (Scott) Smith of St.Joseph, Traci (Steve) Adams of Fenton and Thomas C. (Susan) Fritz of Mattawan. They have a dozen grandchildren.
