OTSEGO – It was a short day for the Buchanan varsity volleyball team at the Otsego Invitational on Wednesday.

The Lady Bucks lost two matches and split another in pool play.

Buchanan was swept by Cedar Springs 25-20 and 25-22, while it was swept by Mattawan 25-17 and 25-22.

In its final match of pool play, the Lady Bucks split with Grand Rapids Catholic Central 25-23 and 25-19.

Alexis Lenox had 40 assist, 15 digs, five aces and two blocks. Buchanan also got 15 kills, three aces and four blocks from Audrey Oake and eight kills, six blocks and 15 digs from Rachel Briggs.

Rachel Downs finished the day with 60 digs and three aces. Ashley Luzudre had 20 digs and Brooke Shultz 12 digs.

Buchanan will compete in the Schoolcraft Invitational on Friday.
