Jessica Cook of Niles and Jay Olstad of Mound, Minn., were married on June 27, 2009, at 3 p.m. Mount Olivet Church, 7150 Rolling Acres, Victoria, Minn. The reception was at Blaisdell Manor in Minneapolis, Minn.

The bride is the daughter of Marc and Paula of Niles. She is a graduate of Brandywine Jr./Sr. High School in 1995 and of Indiana University.

Her maternal grandparents are Mary Phyllis of Watervliet and the late Ollie James Yates.
Her paternal grandparents are the late Lou Ann and Balser Cook of Allegan.

The groom is the son of Harley and Sandy Olstad of Mound, Minn. He is a 1996 graduate of Mound-Westonka High School in Mound, Minn and.the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.

His maternal grandparents are the late Iris and Walter of Duluth, Minn.

His paternal grandparents are the late Selma and Henry Olstad of Chatfield, Minn.
The bride’s attendants were Blaine Turk and Courtney Paff, the bride’s sisters; Carrie Sueker, Katie Gilles, and Christie Olstad, the groom’s sisters; Heather Soukal, Laura Gibbs and Rebecca Kopf , friends of the bride;

Junior bridesmaids were Alison Gilles and Kaia Sueker, nieces of the groom.
Lucy Gilles, niece of groom and Arielle Soukal, friend of bride, were the flower girls.
The groom’s attendants included, the best man, John Mleziva, friend of groom; Rick Larsen, Andy French, Tim Sperduto and Jerry Makoff, friends of groom; Erik Sueker and Greg Gilles, brothers-in-law of groom and Mitchell Sueker, nephew of groom.
Ushers were Brian Paff and Doug Turk, brothers-in-law; and Becca Peglow and Stephanie Burns, friends of the groom.

Everyone could choose their own black dress. Flowers were champagne calla lillies with long green stems, and black ribbons.

The groom is a current TV reporter, and the bride is a former TV reporter, so they did a little something different for the guests. Instead of the DJ introducing the wedding party at the reception, they taped introductions while they sat on the news set at Jay’s station in Milwaukee Wis. They were able to edit in photos of everyone and explain why these folks were part of their wedding. At the end of the video, they introduced themselves. It was a big hit and everyone enjoyed it.

The newlyweds live in Milwaukee Wis.
