Published 9:19am Tuesday, August 18, 2009

BUCHANAN – First Presbyterian Church at 115 Front Street, Buchanan will hold a special service of recognition and blessing for all first responders in the community such as police, fire fighters, and EMTs.  The service is on Sunday, Aug. 23, at 9:30 with a special reception to follow worship.

“These men and women lay their lives on the line to serve us in emergency situations and we want to show them how much we appreciate what they do. Too often we take them for granted until we find ourselves dialing 911 calling for help. We want to say thank you and ask for God’s safe keeping.” said Patricia Ramsden, pastor of First Presbyterian.
The public is invited to join with members of the church as they recognize the work of these brave men and women.
