DOWAGIAC – Larry and Sue Watson continued their dominance of the Dowagiac City Tennis Tournament on Saturday.

Larry Watson won his record 16th men’s singles title, while wife Sue Watson captured her 13th women’s crown.

In the men’s bracket, Larry Watson received a first round bye and then advanced to the finals with a 6-0 and 6-3 win over Deangelo Baylock.

Baylock reached the quarterfinals with a 6-3 and 6-2 win over Sonny Schwartz.

Jim Darr, the tournament’s No. 2 seed, also received a first round bye. He advanced to the finals with a 6-4, 4-6 and 6-4 win over Niles’ Dave Negron.

Negron reached the quarterfinals with his 6-1 and 6-0 win over Armapol Sarao.
