Kessick wins Niles City Golf tourney

John Kessick rallied from two strokes back to capture the rain-shortened 2009 Niles City Golf Tournament at Plym Park on Sunday.

Kessick was tied with Adam Enders and Greg Raklovits entering Sunday’s second round.
Dave Hopper had the first round lead after shooting 76 on Saturday.

The tournament was cut to 27 holes after torrential rains hit the area just before noon.
Raklovits ended up finishing second, while Hopper and Enders tied for third.

Doug Doucet rallied from two shots back to grab the A Flight championship after shooting 126.

Terry Churchill and Mike Hinegardner were tied for first after Saturday’s round with an 80.
Churchill ended up second with Jason Ensign finishing third.

The B Flight title went to Josh Hampton and his 126.
Rick Kidwell, Saturday’s first round leader finished second and Tm Howard third.

Jim Conrad broke his first round tie with Blake Taylor and went on to win the C Flight with a 135.
Taylor ended up second and Richard Wise third.

In the Senior Championship Flight, Fred Knutel maintained his first round lead to capture the championship with a 115.
Stan Williams was second and Bob Freshley third.

The Senior A Flight title went to Jerry Dalenberg with a 130. Ray Neldon was second and Ed Ralston third.

Dave Bicard won the B Flight with a score of 186. Bud Townsend finished second and Denny Curtis took third.
