Dave Hopper shot a 76 on the opening day of the Niles City Golf Tournament to take a two stroke lead into today’s final round.

Hopper leads the trio of Adam Enders, John Kessick and Greg Raklovits, all of whom shot 78 on Saturday.

Six shots back are Carl Greulich and John Hoskins at 82, while Nick Horn finished with an 83 on the opening day.

Leading the A Flight are Terry Churchill and Mike Hinegardner, who are tied at 80. Doug Doucet trails by two strokes.

The B Flight leader heading into today is Rick Kidwell after shooting an 81.

Jim Conrad and Blake Taylor both shot 91 on Saturday to tie for the top spot in the C Flight.

Leading the Seniors heading into the final round is Fred Knutel, who shot a 75. Bob Freshley is just three shots back after carding a 78.
